The FCIA (Fuel Cell Institute of Australia) announces an educational programme involving hydrogen and fuel cell science/engineering education, called "MOONSHOT 2010". The title of the programme signifies a historical parallel with the landing on the moon in 1969, to the future commercial release of the fuel cell vehicle (FCV) by GM (US) in year 2010.
The programme is designed to expand through NSW in year 2006, and Australia during years 2007/8, covering primary schools, high schools, colleges and universities. It is anticipated that equivalent programmes at scale internationally, will as well begin in the near future.
